Did you know that the SKS was a standard infantry rifle for the Soviet Union before being replaced by the AK-47? The SKS is known as the affordable alternative rifle and fires a 7.62x39mm round. It’s a self-loading carbine with a conventional layout and a wood stock (in most cases). It’s normally made in China, some Eastern European countries, and in Vietnam and North Korea.
